Default My good deeds of 2010.

so its a new year and i found a brand spanking new player in pre searing who was abit overwhelmed by the game...so i took them to post and gave them 10kand a max weapon, bought there armour and helped them do a few missions to get the feel of the game, as it can just look massive and complicated to newbies. They seemed to settle into it good and enjoyed it , which is why i helped...am i going soft in my old age? lol

anyone else done a generous deed in 2010 yet?

SPOILER: That 'new player' was me on an alternate account. I merched the max weapon, salvaged the armor for materials, merched the materials, transfered the 12k to my main, and used it to buy Traveler's Gifts.

Doubtful, I've seen quite a few new people as I start my own new game, seems the talk of GW2 has brought a bunch of totally new people to the game.

Yer I was helping a low-level ranger with ruins of surmia, and, he went afk at the beginning. Now, I didn't mind, it's easy as heck... But decided to do the bonus as well, so that he will be pleased. Now, that bonus is glitched from time to time.

Quote:
Bug! Sometimes (normally in Hard Mode) Breena may be killed by a boss spawning nearby
And even tho I had to wait for the cutscenes, because he was afk, I did the mission without the bonus for him, and got called a noob 10 mins later, when he came back...

My policy these days is that for every Zaishen Quest I do, I join few PUGs. If I find one with genuinely intelligent people, I play with them, elsewise I play with H/H.

The other day, I encountered a warrior in such a group who was using Defy Pain. So I showed him a Dragon Slash build, because a warrior's job is to kill things and keep up SY, not sit around being useless.

I hope he learned something.

I donated $20 and bought a big bag of cat food for a local animal rescue and personally delivered them across town

I have not logged in yet in 2010. Yikes!

Though I do enjoy going to Ascalon with my main and handing out goodies I get from farming runs, or max weapons I have no use of. It's usually not hard to tell who is truly new to the game, and who just has a new character - but either way I don't really care.

I hold open doors for people, stop at stop signs, and say please & thank you.

Considering it's more than what 99.99999% of the world does, I consider myself a saint.

You've never been to Japan before, have you? It's completly different to the pigsty of a country America is.

edit: sorry if that appeared to be a personal attack, I just have no love for my culture compared to others.

OT.
No, I've done nothing good GW related. I felt that finding a polar bear mini had more worth than helping a new player

just wow, some1 feels generious in the new years tells a good story and a troller just shuts them down.
well he might have gave them money and mats to actually craft the armour.

Fact : By buying that person armour, giving them weapons and stomping missions for them you have distorted their entire grasp of the game.
